From my 6 months?working experience in arvato, Entrepreneurship impresses me most among the four core values of Bertelsmann-Partnership, Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Citizenship. It also means a lot to a freshman just graduated from the university.
Differing from the other fortune 500 companies, arvato is willing to give more chances to the Young Talents. Besides working as a assistant, you also will have the chance to manage a project. However, it’s really hard and challenging for a freshman. You must be brave enough to take the responsibility and be diligent enough to build the network and gain the resource by yourself. Fresh out of the university, arvato young talent program is designed to turn creative, talented and motivated graduates into the future managers of the company.
I have a real job from the first day I get here, one that makes a noticeable contribution to the team and business. Much of the professional skills development occurs on the job, working with experienced colleagues and receiving regular coaching and feedbacks. One thing impresses me is that my ideas or thoughts are always respected, and I’m the person who choose my career development direction through different job rotations.
Training takes place both at the company and off the job, including communication skills, project management skills, and other supportive skills for the job. This provides exposure to contemporary management thinking and practices, helping me understand how business in general and also offering a chance to practice new skills and work with lives business issues.

I am much honored to be a member of Young Talent program of arvato. From entry till now, I deeply felt the Humanity and Entrepreneurial spirit on which arvato always focus. Now, I mainly responsible for the execution and management of a famous cosmetics brand’s PR campaign across China. In addition to finishing the activities?execution and project report, I also take charge of recruitment; training and management a team composed by a few interns, and get the first idea of how to be an outstanding leader. For I need the constant communication and coordination with our customers and partners during work, I often encountered new difficulties, but the mentor and colleagues around provided timely help and guided me to resolve various problems. I learned a lot of valuable business knowledge for the just a few months time.

I’m Tanya, graduated from Renmin University in July, 2007.
It’s been a few months since I joined arvato, not yet long enough for me to learn every business arvato owns, but absolutely long enough for me to feel who arvato is, and undoubtedly it’s a precious opportunity for every young person with ambitions and dreams to be here.
Every day in arvato, I work with versatile and energetic staff, learning doing business brilliantly and professionally. Working just becomes such an enjoyable thing and I’m totally driven and motivated by it.
Sometimes it may get a bit tiring, but never tiresome, because each time I spend to learn a new knowledge, a new business and then actually get involved in a new project, it’s really full of accomplishment. Every pay became a gain. Of course sometimes there is barrier in the way. So what? Meet the challenge, crash it and then keep moving on.

There are different specific positions for Young talent. Now I am an account assistant in a well-known auto project, communicate with our customer to know their need and requirement, and cooperate with operation colleagues to satisfy customer’s need.
As an account assistant, you can learn a lot from this position, especially multi-task management and communication skill. Since you have to deal with many tasks in the same time, you really need the ability to identify importance of each task, and the ability to follow up each task. It’s maybe not very easy for graduates. Fortunately, person in this company will kindly support you.
